You Will Be Okay

“The most important relationship you will ever have is the relationship with yourself.” - Steve Maraboli

Have you ever wanted to be appreciated by someone that you care about? It could be someone you love, or you want to love you. It could be a friend, co-worker, peer, or even a parent.

Sadly, we cannot make someone feel for us what we might feel for them. That is not our role or purpose in life. We must be okay with who we are, fully loving the person we have become and are becoming. We are all a work-in-progress.

All of life works together to move us in the direction we are meant to go. Do not lose a moment of peace putting a stake of resentment or hurt in the ground because someone does not see your worth and value.

Let that burden go. Forgive them (and yourself). Be grateful for the moments you had (have), and let life carry on. Do not give them a “piece of your mind” or tell them off hoping to bring them closer to you.

To the universe speak peace, happiness, and joy to come to their life. It will always be better to be grateful than resentful.

Be okay knowing you are perfect as you are. No one else needs to see it for it to be true.

You’ve got this!

Note: Being okay does not condone being taken advantage of or manipulated. This post refers specifically to people that mean well, but might poorly express (if at all) their appreciation for you.
