Do then Be(come)…

A lion cub knows that it will become a strong, confident, and powerful leader for itself and its pride. To prepare for that day, it does what is necessary now to be ready for when its day to lead comes. Likewise, you must see yourself as the person you want to become, and do what is needed now to bring out your full potential when your time comes.

Becoming what you desire is not complicated. It’s a matter of doing the things that will lead you to becoming that version of yourself.

Becoming starts with stating in the affirmative - am - that is what you are. Example, “I am a chef.”

You might not have gone to culinary school, or work in a restaurant kitchen. Do you try new recipes, perfecting your craft to learn complementary seasonings for your meal? Do you learn how items can be cooked to improve their taste, or the outcome of a meal?

By stating you are, then doing the things that are needed, you become what you desire.

Let me recap for you: State in the “am” what you are (ex. I am an athlete). Do the things that align with that identity (ex. Workout consistently, eat clean meals, train). Become that identity (ex. I am competing in social or competitive leagues).

You might need be paid, but athleticism, like any other skill is not a birthright. It is not something we are or are not. You can choose to become “x”; it only takes a moment to begin, and once you begin, you are.

You’ve got this!
