Fine Art Student Portraits

They Grow Up in a Heartbeat.

What Parents Should Know

Hello,

Photo day is just around the corner!
My name is Eddie, and I am the school portrait photographer for EddieSpeaksLove Photography.

I’m so excited to provide you with fine art portraits that capture the authentic personality of your child.

My goal is to create a more personal and thoughtful experience for both schools and families, ensuring that photo day feels seamless, enjoyable, and memorable!

Minimal. Timeless. Soulful.

School photos are often a source of stress—the rushed morning, the forced smile, the bright neon backgrounds. My approach is different. I want to capture your child exactly as they are right now.

What Students Should Wear

  • The "Shoulders-Up" Rule: Since these are fine art portraits, we focus on the face and expression. What they wear from the chest up is most important.

  • Colors: Solid, neutral tones (creams, greys, navy, deep greens, or earthy tones) work beautifully against my backdrop.

  • Avoid: Please avoid neons, large logos, or busy patterns. These distract from your child's eyes and expressions.

  • Hair & Face: Keep it natural. A quick check for "messy faces" or crumbs before you arrive is all we need!

I work quickly. This isn't a long, drawn-out production. Most children are only in front of my lens for about 60 seconds. This keeps the energy high and the expressions genuine. I won't ask them to say 'cheese'—I’ll simply talk to them and capture the moments in between. Here is everything you need to know to make this session a success.

What to Expect After the Session

  • Gallery Delivery: You will receive a link to your private online gallery within 4 weeks.

  • The Portraits: You’ll receive high-resolution digital files in both Color and Black & White.
