Playing sports, you spent most of your time in practice preparing. Each day you worked on aspects of what could happen in the game. 

This preparation developed your muscle memory to (re)act without overthinking. In one of the first games I played I was so nervous I could barely think. 

The snap happens, the receiver begins his move off the line, and I jab him with two quick sticks to his chest, flip my hips to put him on on the end line, and as our heads turn to look for the ball, we watch it sail out of bounds - incomplete pass, fourth down. 

You see, even though I felt nervous about playing, about showing up for my team - I was ready. I prepared for this moment, and the moments to come. 

Being ready is about your preparation for the opportunity. When it comes, and it is, YOU WILL BE READY!
